We're not sustainable
  We're sustainable AF

Being sustainable AF is more than petitions. It’s more than joining charities or waving banners. It’s more than designing a ‘sustainable range’, or righting past mistakes.
And it’s more than just promising to do better.

It means every single choice you’ve ever made as a company has had sustainability at it’s heart from day one.

And that’s why we’re sustainable AF.

The way a brand buys its stock is one of the
cornerstones to sustainability. Less is always more.

We produce smaller,
more exclusive runs

Instead of investing in huge runs, we only manufacture smaller, more exclusive designs. Not only does this mean our customers are buying something more unique, it also eliminates any wastefulness that comes with bigger runs. And because there’s no waste, there’s no unused fabric going to the landfill.

Our factories are
    sustainable AF

By choosing factories that are closer to home we can ensure complete manufacturing transparency, ethical working conditions, and a smaller footprint.

    Roads not air

By being based in Lithuania and Bulgaria, our garments can be transported by road instead of flying. This dramatically cuts down our carbon footprint.

  • Hand + Tick Icon

    Complete transparency

Because of the location and number of our factories, we’re able to have complete transparency at all times. This ensures workers’ rights and conditions are properly upheld and quality of manufacturing and processes is safeguarded.

    Ethical working conditions

All our factories provide their workers with a working wage and modern working conditions. This is a world away from some of the working conditions across Asia, where conditions are far harder to control and oversea.

Lenzing Certified

Lenzing Certified

Because our clothes meet high levels of sustainability, we have been awarded the internationally recognised Lenzing certificate. This shows our commitment to transparency and compliance throughout the whole process of creating every item of clothing. Lenzing fibres are made of cellulose, which is a natural component of the renewable source material wood. Biodegradability is a characteristic of cellulose. This means that at the end of their life cycle, these fibres can re-enter the ecosystem, preparing the ground for new plants to grow.

The EU Ecolabel

The EU Ecolabel

This internationally recognised label of environmental excellence is only awarded to products and services which have a significantly lower environmental impact throughout their lifecycle – from raw material extraction to production, distribution and disposal, as well as the treatment of workers involved in these processes.

We only work with people who share our values. And we’re proud to work with some of the best sustainability organisations on the planet.

BCI Cotton

BCI Cotton

BCI is a global not-for-profit organisation with one simple mission – to ensure the sustainable production of cotton. To do this, it strives to safeguard the welfare of the farmers who make it, protect the environment it grows in, and promote sustainable cotton as a mainstream commodity.

By working with a diverse range of stakeholders, BCI works tirelessly to put in place good farm practices, allowing more cotton to be grown while reducing water and chemical use, and protecting both working conditions and biodiversity. It also delivers measurable and continued improvements for the environment, for the farming communities, and for the economies of cotton-producing areas.

As well as ourselves, the Better Cotton Initiative is also supported by names such as H&M, M&S, and Adidas.

Our packaging is
    sustainable AF

The way our outfits arrive is just as important as how they’re made. So when you receive a parcel, the outside is as sustainable as this inside.

Our details are
    sustainable AF

At ExtraAF, we know that the beauty is in the detail. So as well as creating sustainable outfits, we’ve made each and every one of our woven labels with 100% recycled polyester.

Our marketing is
    sustainable AF

We love fashion. But we love people more. So, during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we changed our marketing plans, inviting influencers to shoot our launch video and photography in the safety of their own home.

Not only did this ensure the safety of our models, it also meant no non-essential travelling, and tapped into the idea of dressing up to stay in.

Direction was given via a live video feed, and the whole project was briefed and delivered without having to put a single person in unnecessary danger.

Our goals are
    sustainable AF

At ExtraAF, we can’t live without fashion,
but nobody can live without a sustainable future.

That’s why, in our first year,  we’re already 80% sustainable.

But 80% needs to be 100%.
And by every means necessary, we’ll make it happen.

Because we’re not just sustainable.
We’re sustainable AF.
